iTELL
iTELL is a suite of applications looking into applying deep computational parsers to intelligent
Technology Enhanced Language Learning environments. iTELL includes several
applications both to support the development of Computational Grammars, and for exploiting them in pedagogical
settings.
Here are the applications currently deployed in this server:
Grammarium: Grammar Engineering Toolbox (learn more)
This application includes a set of tools to support the development and dissemination of DELPH-IN
computational grammars. For the moment, these include an online parser/demo, and tools for regression
testing. These tools are heavily dependent on
ACE,
PyDelphin. They also include adapted versions of the
visualization tools provided by
delphin-viz.
CALLIG: Computer Assisted Language Learning using Improvisational Comedy (more)
CALLIG is a suite of online language games inspired by verbal improvisational games. Games targeted
specific aspects of English L2 learning, including grammatical error detection powered by the
ERG.
CALLIG includes popular improv games like "Sex With Me" and "Wicked Proverbs", as well as others.
Similar to real improvisation performances (which rely on an audience), in CALLIG suggestions are
generated by the system, e.g. using
WordNet and our own curated lists.
